Payment that works — even when the network doesn't.
PaySat Vault combines LTE, Starlink and battery backup in one ruggedised unit. Built for events, outdoor operations and any deployment where payment downtime is not an option.
Starlink hardware and subscription provided by customer (BYOD).
Designed for cell congestion, generator operation and outdoor deployment.

Why operators trust us
Built for temporary, revenue-critical sites — focused on operational stability, not peak bandwidth.
Technical redundancy
Two independent WAN paths, automatic failover on disruption, POS prioritisation in the data path.
Operational stability
Battery buffering for brownouts and generator switchovers — payment operations stay online short-term.
Operationally deployable
Pre-configured system, fast on-site deployment, remote diagnostics during live operation.
Product and field validation in progress. Findings continuously feed into the operational configuration.
When the cash desk stops working
Failing card payment at temporary sites is not an IT problem — it is a revenue and reputation problem. Queues at the till cause aborted purchases and complaints. The damage scales with event size and downtime.
Network overloaded
Under high visitor density the cell becomes the bottleneck — LTE throughput drops, transactions stall or abort.
Power loss
Generator outage on site. All routers dead. All cash desks offline.
No fixed line
Temporary location without wired access. A phone hotspot is not enough for reliable payment.
Why standard solutions fail at events
LTE routers, hotspots and best-effort setups are built for stable office environments — not for packed festival grounds, outdoor temperatures and generator power.
Single-WAN router
One internet source. If it fails, all payment traffic fails — no failover.
Smartphone hotspot
Best-effort connectivity with no prioritisation. POS data competes with every stream and app around it.
No load logic
Standard solutions cannot distinguish critical POS traffic from background traffic. Under congestion, everything suffers equally.
Why PaySat Vault
One box that protects payment-critical operations at temporary sites as a system — not as “more internet”.
Dual-WAN with separate failure domains
LTE (terrestrial) and Starlink (satellite, BYOD) — independent infrastructures, automatic failover on WAN disruption.
Payment prioritisation
POS traffic is prioritised over non-critical traffic. Payment data stays responsive even under load.
Stability logic under congestion
QoS rules relieve the link when the cell saturates — instead of letting all services collapse uniformly.
Resilience to power events
Integrated LiFePO4 battery buffers brief generator dropouts and switchovers. Target runtime approx. 3 hours, field validation in progress.
Fast operational deployment
Ships pre-configured. Connect power, link Starlink — typically ready in under 5 minutes.
Remote diagnostics
Status and diagnostics from afar — shorter response time for incidents during live operation.
Who this is built for
Event tech & connectivity rental
POS connectivity as a rental line item in your portfolio. Repeatable setup, low on-site support burden.
Cashless & POS integrators
A stable carrier network underneath cashless wristbands, cash systems and terminals — even with a saturated cell.
Festival & market operators
Multi-day open-air events, Christmas markets, street food areas without a fixed line.
Food truck & pop-up fleets
Changing locations with consistent operational readiness — pre-configured, ready to deploy.
Proven in operation, not just on paper
We document the operational approach transparently: redundancy, switching logic, validation status — designed around real-world failure patterns.
Network resilience
Dual-WAN from LTE and BYOD Starlink with automatic failover on WAN disruption. POS traffic is prioritised so payment processing is favoured under load.
Energy resilience
LiFePO4 buffering to absorb brownouts and generator switchovers. The aim is stable cash desk operation even during brief power events.
Operational delivery
Pre-configured system for fast deployment and remote diagnostics during live operation. Field feedback feeds back into configuration and recovery logic.
Evaluated against measurable operational KPIs
- Failover behaviour on WAN disruption (time window, stability, no flapping)
- Session stability for card payment under load
- Behaviour during brownouts / generator transitions
- Restart and remote-diagnostic capability in the field
Validation status: pilot and field phase active. Stated target values are continuously verified against real deployment data.

Frequently asked questions
Does this replace our existing router?+
No. PaySat Vault works alongside your existing infrastructure. It creates a dedicated, payment-optimised connectivity path — separate from general event Wi-Fi or internet access.
What happens if both LTE and Starlink fail simultaneously?+
This is extremely rare because both paths have different failure modes — LTE fails under cell congestion, Starlink under obstruction or platform issues. In a total dual-path failure, the battery maintains system state for a controlled shutdown. Payment sessions are gracefully terminated, not dropped mid-transaction.
Do we need a Starlink subscription?+
Not necessarily. PaySat Vault supports BYOD Starlink (you bring your own subscription) as well as configurations with managed Starlink access. The BYOD model is the primary V1 offering.
How long does setup take on-site?+
Under 5 minutes for trained staff. The unit ships pre-configured for your deployment profile. On-site: power, antenna placement, SIM activation.
Is there a pilot programme?+
Yes. We are currently selecting pilot partners for Q3 2026 deployments. Pilot partners receive preferential pricing and direct access to the engineering team. Use the contact form below.
Ready to stop losing revenue to connectivity failures?
We are currently selecting pilot partners. Conversations are non-binding — we will tell you directly if PaySat Vault is the right fit for your operation. We respond within 24 hours on business days.
